Terms of Service

Welcome to Hop2School. Hop2School is a product of Hop To School LLC. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Hop2School mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Hop2School ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.

1. Description of Service

Hop2School is a platform that connects parents/guardians ("Parents") with independent school transportation providers ("Providers"). We provide technology tools including:

  • Real-time GPS tracking of school transportation vehicles
  • Communication tools between Parents and Providers
  • Provider discovery and search functionality
  • Trip management and notifications

Important: Hop2School is a technology platform only. We do not provide transportation services, employ drivers, or own vehicles. All transportation services are provided by independent third-party Providers.

2. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

3. Parent Users

As a Parent user, you understand and agree that:

  • You are responsible for selecting and vetting transportation Providers for your children
  • Hop2School does not guarantee the safety, reliability, or quality of any Provider
  • You should independently verify Provider credentials, insurance, and background checks
  • Any agreement for transportation services is solely between you and the Provider
  • You are responsible for providing accurate information about your children and pickup/dropoff locations

4. Provider Users

As a Provider user, you represent and warrant that:

  • You hold all required licenses, permits, and insurance for school transportation in your jurisdiction
  • All drivers have passed appropriate background checks as required by law
  • Your vehicles meet all safety standards and regulations
  • You will maintain accurate information on your profile
  • You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Hop2School reserves the right to verify Provider credentials and remove any Provider from the platform at our sole discretion.

5. Platform Role and Limitations

Hop2School acts solely as a technology platform to facilitate connections between Parents and Providers. We:

  • Do NOT employ or control Providers or their drivers
  • Do NOT guarantee the accuracy of GPS tracking data
  • Do NOT guarantee availability of Providers in any area
  • Do NOT mediate disputes between Parents and Providers
  • Are NOT responsible for the actions or omissions of any Provider

5.1 Estimated Data Disclaimer

All estimated times of arrival (ETAs), real-time location data, trip durations, distances, speed information, and other time- or location-based data displayed in the Service are approximations only and are provided on a best-effort basis. These estimates may be affected by GPS signal quality, network connectivity, device hardware, traffic conditions, driver behavior, and other factors beyond our control.

Hop2School does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any such data. You acknowledge that ETAs and tracking information should not be relied upon as exact or definitive. Hop2School shall not be held liable for any decisions made, damages incurred, or claims arising from reliance on estimated or real-time data provided through the Service.

5.2 Driver Verification

Providers are solely responsible for screening, vetting, and verifying the qualifications of their drivers, including but not limited to background checks, driving record reviews, license verification, and compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws. Hop2School displays driver information as reported by Providers but has not independently verified any such information. Hop2School makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy of driver profiles, background check statuses, or any other driver-related data displayed on the platform. Parents are encouraged to inquire directly with their Provider about their driver screening processes.

5.3 Vehicle and Fleet Information

Providers are solely responsible for ensuring that all vehicles used for transportation are properly registered, insured, inspected, and maintained in safe operating condition in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Any vehicle information displayed on the platform — including make, model, year, safety features, seat capacity, and maintenance status — is provided by the Provider and has not been independently verified by Hop2School. Hop2School shall not be held liable for any incidents, damages, or claims arising from vehicle condition, maintenance, or compliance.

5.4 Route Planning

Hop2School may provide AI-assisted route suggestions for Providers. These routes are recommendations only. Providers and their drivers are solely responsible for selecting safe and appropriate routes and for complying with all traffic laws and regulations. Hop2School is not liable for any incidents arising from route choices made by Providers or drivers.

5.5 Provider-Supplied Information

Information displayed on the platform regarding schools, pickup/drop-off locations (hubs), schedules, trip details, calendars, and other operational data is supplied by Providers. Hop2School does not independently verify this information and is not responsible for its accuracy or completeness.

5.6 Child Safety and Custody

Hop2School is not responsible for verifying the identity or authorization of individuals picking up or dropping off children. It is the sole responsibility of Parents and Providers to establish and follow appropriate protocols for child pickup and drop-off authorization. Hop2School is not liable for any unauthorized pickups, custody disputes, or related incidents.

5.7 Service Availability

Hop2School does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. The platform may experience downtime due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. In the event of a Service interruption, Providers remain responsible for the safe completion of any in-progress trips. Parents are advised to maintain alternative means of contacting their Provider outside of the Hop2School platform.

6. Fees and Payments

The Hop2School app is free for Parents to download and use basic features. Providers may be subject to subscription fees as outlined in their Provider agreement.

Any payments for transportation services are made directly between Parents and Providers through Stripe. Hop2School facilitates payment processing but is not a party to the financial transaction between Parents and Providers. Hop2School is not responsible for refunds, chargebacks, billing disputes, or any payment-related issues between Parents and Providers. Standard Stripe processing fees apply.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Hop2School and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (reviews, photos, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with the Service.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Submit false or misleading information
  • Use automated means to access the Service without permission

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES REGARDING THE QUALITY, SAFETY, OR LEGALITY OF ANY TRANSPORTATION SERVICES PROVIDED BY PROVIDERS.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOP2SCHOOL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Personal injury or property damage arising from transportation services
  • Any conduct of Providers, drivers, or other users
  • Unauthorized access to your data
  • Errors or inaccuracies in GPS tracking
  • Service interruptions or failures

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the past 12 months, or $100, whichever is greater.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hop2School and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

17. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits.
